FOCUS. Criteria for initial evaluation of opportunities.

Our Goal is to enable the development
of next-generation technology and
prepare it for venture funding.

Initial review criteria

  • Stage of opportunity
  • Type of technology
  • Commercial relevance
  • Competitive positioning
  • Availability of models
  • ‘Soundness’ of scientific hypothesis
  • Academic track record of founder(s)
  • Ability to reach value inflection point in 1-2 years

Area’s of interest

Next-generation electronics which includes advanced materials and novel manufacturing methods:

  • Material-enabled technologies for the electronics industry.
  • Displays & beyond: Technologies and materials enabling new, innovative displays, e.g. µLED technology, holographic or flexible displays. New applications for liquid crystals beyond displays, e.g. electrooptical applications, e.g. beam steering for IR, RF, and other frequency bands and passive applications like light guides and waveplates.
  • New semiconductor technologies, e.g.: New chip architectures or components for AI, neuromorphic computing and in-memory compute, Quantum computing.  New materials & services that enable the next generation of “classical” semiconductor devices, e.g. Process chemistry for next-gen nodes & 3D memory, e.g. deposition & patterning materials, advanced packaging and advanced substrates, Fab optimization solutions.
